17 members attending today.
Leads 8 external, 11 internal total 19.
Speakers Mary Ryan and Ngaire Birch.
Mary shared some of her experiences with RSPCA. She started with them as a volunteer in the vet surgery on the SSS (shovelling shit shift) which she continued for a number of years. Subsequently she filled in as a casual ambulance driver a paid position she still does as required. The TV series animal rescue is typical of the role.
The RSPCA is a charity that receives no Govt funding. They do apply for and receive some grants but rely on the public for donations. They have a bequest program that helps them continue their work. Mary enjoys fostering kittens and has always had a strong affinity with animals.
Ngaire talked about our skin and the process she employs to enable her clients to detox using clay and a wrap. Essential oils in which she specialises are absorbed into the body through the skin and then get to the vital organs that way.If you haven't done so you need to treat yourself to a massage from Ngaire (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED).
Our Christmas breakfast will be on 20th December after which we will break until the New Year.
