Tim has advised us he is closing the restaurant on 21st December permanently. Now we need to find a new home. Nicola is on the job and we will start next year at the new location when the decision as to where is made.
Speakers today Madeleine Hicks and Lyn Whyte.
Madeleine shared about getting to the point of distress and the 'Christmas Grump'. We should all count our blessings. Some thoughts in the Christmas Season - Keep your humanity and walk in the rain.
This year Madeleine is again doing the Smith Family Appeal so drop in any contributions this Thursday.
Lyn showed us a photo on glass from 1890's. The process was developed from the 1820's. It is a copper plate process with the image being bought out under mercury gas.The photo had real gold leaf in it and the colour was done by hand.Lyn's tip always put a mat around your photos when you frame them to keep the glass off them.Next year Lifetime Photography will continue the same as this year but with Norm to run Workshops expanded into digital.

Speakers Mary Ryan and Ngaire Birch.
Mary shared some of her experiences with RSPCA. She started with them as a volunteer in the vet surgery on the SSS (shovelling shit shift) which she continued for a number of years. Subsequently she filled in as a casual ambulance driver a paid position she still does as required. The TV series animal rescue is typical of the role.

Ngaire talked about our skin and the process she employs to enable her clients to detox using clay and a wrap. Essential oils in which she specialises are absorbed into the body through the skin and then get to the vital organs that way.If you haven't done so you need to treat yourself to a massage from Ngaire (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED).

Tabulam Races- Well Almost
The races were cancelled because of the flu but that didn't stop us have a relaxing time eating, drinking and socializing with even a little fence fixing.
We were not deterred by the occasional showers and by all reports a good time had by all.
A visit to Jean-Claude's French Restaurant for Sunday lunch was fabulous. If you get the opportunity to visit Mallanganee NSW then the restaurant should be a must.

Speakers this week were Audrey and Nicola as Libby had last minute child minding duties. We will hear from her next week.
Audrey gave good advice on how women should get into their vehicles. Sit in the car by backing in then swing both legs into the vehicle at the same time. This prevents hip problems. She also shared with us a book titled "The Dog & Lemon Guide" which details most of the faults found in most of the popular cars. Her friend imports used vehicles from Japan 4WD 7/8 seaters- basically Mitsubishi.
Be sure to change your timing belt every 100k otherwise big bucks to repair the engine.
To get rid of smells such as milk or cigarettes spray rum in the car and let it sit in the sun.
Nicola stepped in as a last minute speaker and talked about greyhounds. There is an adopt a greyhound club- they organise socialisation of retired dogs after they finish racing. Greyhounds are usually very healthy and intelligent. They make wonderful pets. You can also foster dogs. You are provided with all their food and can see if you like them before deciding to adopt. For more info www.greyhoundracing.com.au
Nicola also bought to our attention that it is cat breeding season and that regretably the RSPCA will destroy 13,000 kittens this season. We should not look on pets as being disposable and act responsibly in this throw away society.

A Town Called Nowhere
Friday night saw some members travel to Dayboro to watch this years play by the Dayboro Players. The play was most entertaining. At times we laughed ourselves silly. Knowing some of the actors as well as the writer/director added to the occasion. Good entertainment with good friends, what more could you ask for?
